Fall Has Arrived!

Fall Fashion Must-Haves
Wondering what to wear as the season turns? This year, classics are back in a big way. Designers are leaving trendy pieces behind and choosing to embrace looks that can be worn for years to come.
So, what’s best on the fall list?
Leopard: Leopard and other animal prints — think zebra or giraffe — are usually associated with women of a certain age. This season, however, designers and young celebrities alike are embracing leopard in fresh ways. Olivia Palermo rocked a purple leopard frock a few weeks ago, and leopard shoes and bags are showing up on the feet and hands of many Glee stars. Nervous about this bold print? Add it sparingly in belts, scarves and shoes. Want to make it more edgy and young? Pair leopard peep-toe wedges with black tights and a black dress.
Camel: Camel is classic. Camel head to toe was the highlight of Chloe’s fall line and a look that women of all ages should embrace. Although simple,  adding a  bit of camel to your everyday basics can upgrade a low-key look with a look of luxury and glamour.
Menswear: Menswear has been showing up on the runways the last few seasons in the form of schoolboy blazers and vests. But this fall, the look has expanded to trousers. Can high-waisted, pleated, cropped, menswear pants be flattering? Yes, they can. Trina Turk makes a great menswear pair that slenderizes while maintaining a modern menswear look. These pants are best in dark colors like charcoal, black or brown. Stay clear of tweeds or patterns for the most flattering look.
Capes: Capes work great as a transitional coat for fall.  They look great when thrown over more tailored clothes like pencil skirts or skinny jeans.  Or embrace the look for weekend brunch with boyfriend jeans and booties for a bit of downtown mixed with uptown glamour!
Red: If Mad Men is the best thing to happen to TV since the Sopranos, then Christina Hendricks is the best thing to happen to redheads everywhere. So It is no surprise that red — in the form of hair, lips and clothing — has been all over the place. Sexy and bold, this color makes heads turn in a good way, and can turn an otherwise bland look into a va-va-voom moment. Hesitant about the statement that you are going to make? Just add a bit of red stain to your lips for a touch of throwback glamour.
These classics will work overtime in your wardrobe so don’t feel guilty about investing in a few of fall’s must-haves!
